Each one of us has a good work to do. God created us in his likeness with a desire to work and worship him through our giftedness and calling. For Nehemiah it was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. We see in the first six chapters of Nehemiah that he was burdened for a good work. It was not easy—in fact it was very difficult at times—but Nehemiah learned that God had called him to a good work in the world. God has also called us to a good work in our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, churches, and families. This series will challenge us to find our purpose, understand our opposition, and give us the tools and encouragement to live out our calling.
